About Us

Our History...

Standing Stones Community Church is a Bible teaching church serving the communities of North Phoenix. Standing Stones first official service was on March 6, 2005 when pastor Dave and several congregants faithfully pursued their calling to minister to the rapidly growing and largely “unchurched” population residing in the northern reaches of the Phoenix Metropolitan area.

Prior to his call to Standing Stones, Pastor David Bowen was a staff pastor at Shiloh Community Church. As the Executive Pastor he was responsible for not only administrative duties but also adult ministries and small groups. While on staff, he taught weekly Bible studies and was given the opportunity to preach on a regular basis. All of this helped prepare him for the calling he was soon to receive.

In the time since it’s establishment, Standing Stones’ weekly services have moved from a private home to a 5,000 square foot commercial building. A typical Sunday morning service is led by a live worship team, includes a time of prayer, and the reading and teaching from God’s Word. Based on the foundation of strong, Bible-based teaching, the congregation has grown into a loving Christian fellowship where all are encouraged and welcomed.

Pastor Dave and the congregation of Standing Stones Community Church are excited and honored to be able to serve our Lord and Savior through the serving of his people in the North Phoenix community.
